Japan Airlines to Curtail Expenses with an Unpainted Aircraft

This is a strategy being taken in an effort to curb some of the effects of the steep rise in crude oil prices. The unpainted aircraft is roughly 150 kilograms lighter and will conserve about 40,000 liters of fuel in a year. This is enough fuel for a roundtrip flight between Tokyo's Haneda Airport and Sapporo.
