The Japanese Shipowners' Association (JSA)

The JSA is a nationwide maritime organization of owners, charters, and operators with ship. It has a membership of 104 companies as of June 1, 2005. Its annual report and current state of Japanese shipping report are provided in English on its website.

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line)
The largest shipping firm in Japan, creating global tie-up in container shipping. The company is also strengthening comprehensive distribution business in both air cargo and land transportation. (English) (Global)

The largest shipping company of LNG (liquefied natural gas) is expanding car carrier and containership services.
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ("K" LINE)
