Thin-Screen Models Spearhead Sony's TV Comeback

Sony Corporation on Sept. 14 launched eight new TV models, including thin-screen products using LCDs produced jointly with Samsung Electronics of South Korea. Sony, whose TV operations continue to struggle, once dominated the world market for cathode-ray tube sets, has lagged in production of thin-screen TVs.
