Growing Indian economy is attracting Japanese media attention. The Asahi Shimbun, one of the major newspapers in Japan, on Nov. 23 started a serial story titled Running Elephant: Dynamic Indian Economy. The Sankei Shimbun has started a similar serial. The Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the leading business newspaper, on Nov 24 ran an interview article with India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the front page.
