Mitsubishi Motors to Reduce SUV, Car Lineup

Mitsubishi Motors Corp., under business reconstruction, is planning to stop some production lines, including sport utility vehicle PAJERO io and Dion minivans, Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Jan. 11. Mitsubishi Motors aims to reduce development costs by narrowing down the types of vehicles. The move comes after the company revised its product development schemes, which were set up when the automaker was under the umbrella of DaimlerChrysler AG.
