Honda Motor Co. is to introduce hybrid vehicle for its subcompact model Fit, Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported on Feb. 22. The newspaper says the Fit hybrid will come to market as early as next year.
Hybrid vehicles have mainly been produced for big or medium-size models. Hybrid technology is quite likely to dominate the mainstream of energy conservation vehicles, as the practical application of fuel cell is heavily lagging.
