The Bank of Japan on Apr. 18 upgraded its economic outlook for 4 out of 9 regions across the country. The regions are Kanto-koshinetsu, where Tokyo is located, Hokuriku, Tokai and Kinki.
According the central bank’s Regional Economy Report for April 2006, economic climates in large city areas are notably reviving, and other regional economies are also making steady recoveries.
IT and automobile-related industries now enjoy steady performance of exports mainly for North America and China. As for the domestic market, we can notice more equipment spending and new store building are increasing.
