5, 08. 2006

Major consumer loan firm Aiful Corp. on May 8 suspended most of its business at all its 1,900 outlets, including ATM-only shops. In April, the Financial Services Agency imposed an administrative punishment on the moneylender for illegally collecting loans.

The shops are banned from lending or collecting money for 3 days, only allowed to receive payments from customers. Five stores, where malicious cases were found, are closed for 20 to 25 days.
