Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) announced on July 3 that it established its U.S. subsidiary MHI Nuclear Energy Systems Inc. (MNES), to win public contracts to build nuclear plants in the United States. Tens of new plants are expected to be built by 2030, which would be Mitsubishi Heavy’s commercial opportinity.
