Suzuki builds an assembly plant in Japan for the first time in 25 years, spending 60 billion yen. To cope with the increasing demands outside Japan, it plans to expand its production capacity to 3 million by fiscal 2009, 1.24 million for Japan and 1.76 million for overseas markets, respectively.
