Japan’s unemployment rate for July 2006 fell to 4.1%, down by 0.1% from a month ago, according to the announcement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on Aug. 29.
The rate for male was 4.2%, unchanged from June, while the rate for female was 3.9%, down by 0.3%. The number of employees increased to 64.21 million, up by 110,000 from a year ago. Unemployment numbers, on the other hand, dropped by 210,000 to 2.68 million.
