Existing production lines of mid and large size motorcycles in Hamamatsu, central Japan, are to be transferred to Kumamoto. Motorcycle production in Hamamatsu is to end at the end of 2009, making Kumamoto factory Honda’s only motorcycle production plant in Japan. Honda strengthens manufacturing automatic transmissions for four-wheel vehicles in Hamamatsu.
