White Goods Makers to Start Movies Portal

TV Portal Service Corp., funded by home-appliance makes including Sony Corp. and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., announced to launch a portal website in on Feb. 1 next year. The new website, named acTVila, will start with distributing information for daily lives, such as news and weather forecasts. Movies are also to be offered by the end of fiscal 2007.
