Japan Airlines Corp. sold about 2 million shares of Tokyu Corp. from July to September, daily newspapers said on Oct. 20. JAL sold most of its Tokyu shares. The shares were sold for about 1 billion yen and JAL is thought to have gained the profit of several thousand million yen. The deal was made in an attempt to benefit at the bottom line in the consolidated accounting for fiscal 2006.
