Visitors to Second Life, the three-dimensional virtual world on the website operated by Linden Lab of the United States, can now view Tokyo Tower. The virtual Tokyo Tower was erected on the SIM island, "Dejima Island", created in Second Life by Digital Market Inc., a graphic producer on the internet, on May 21, 2007 at the request of Nippon Television City Corp. The visitors are able to see the virtual nocturnal view from the observatory of the virtual Tokyo Tower by climbing up there by elevator. They can also listen to the internet radio and purchase miniature Tokyo Tower and other goods. Digital Market is understood to be planning to conduct events and promotional activities on the SIM island.
