Fumakilla Co., Ltd. began advertising its insecticide spray "Fumakilla-A Double Jet" using the urinal bowls in the men's room at the Shinjuku railway station of the Odakyu line on June 13. The advertising would last until July 12. A seal carrying the picture of insect is stuck inside each of the 23 urinal bowls in the men's room as a "target". The picture is drawn with special temperature-sensitive ink and the seal changes colors when urination hit the "bullseye". "This prevents urine from splashing around and the work load of cleaning the men's room is lessened," a Fumakilla official said. "We took advantage of man's psychology that he can't urinate without aiming at something," he said. "What color appears when the bullseye is hit is left for the man to see," he added. A poster of insecticide is put up at the entrance of the men's room to let the users know about the special way advertising is being conducted.
