"Air Guitar Pro" to be sold by Tomy
Tomy Company, Ltd. will market an "air guitar" that makes sounds as if it were real guitar from July 26, 2007. The new product, "Air Guitar" elec guitar, consists of a part of the neck and the head of a real electric guitar. There are seven buttons on the neck to select the strings by fingers and four other buttons on the side of the neck to choose different tunes. Infrared rays are emitted from the neck as if they are real strings over the body of the guitar. The sounds are produced by "plucking" at the infrared "strings". The speaker is inbuilt. It is priced at 2,625, including tax.
