"BD Cam Wooo" to be sold by Hitachi
Hitachi, Ltd. announced on August 2, 2007 that it will start selling from August 30 the full Hi-Vision camera, BD Cam Wooo, that will use the next-generation DVD, Blu-Ray disc (BD), as the media for the first time in the world. To be marketed will the "DZ-BD7H" equipped with 30GB HD besides the BD drive, and the "DZ-BD70" equipped only with the BD-DVD. They are open priced but the actual retail prices are expected to be 190,000 yen and 160,000 yen, respectively.
