The world market for robots for both factory operation and electronic parts installing went up 9.3% in 2006 over the previous year to a total of 723,900 yen, according to a survey announced by Fuji Keizai Co. on Aug. 31. The company also predicted the market will rise further by 28% in 2010 over 2006 to 927,700 million yen. The domestic market for robots for office and other general uses totalled 2,000 million yen in 2006. It is expected that the domestic market will increase by 3.2 folds in 2010 over 2006.
