The website of Toyota Motor Corp. if valued highest of those of major business firms at 138,600 million yen, according to a survey announced by Japan Brand Strategy, Inc. on Sept. 11, 2007. Valued to be the second highest was that of All Nippon Airways Co., and the third was that of Honda Motor Co., at 106,101 million yen and 82,811 million yen, respectively. Top places were occupied mostly by those of companies in the auto, transportation and leisure industries.
The survey covered the websites of 278 companies doing business directly for consumers between May and June of 2007. The value was assessed by the degree of contribution to the sales of goods and the degree of recognition of the companies and their products by the general public on the basis of replies to questionnaires sent to 19,000 people and from the financial data.
