Yahoo is to open a portal site for television within the current fiscal year 2007. It is already developing necessary technology to do so jointly with Sharp Corp. for the liquid crystal display television set "Aquos". It will also be compatible with other types of television receivers. It will be the first time for Yahoo to open a portal site for television. The company is said to be targeting at obtaining 1 million users per month by the end of 2008.
