The blog operating company FC2 announced on Oct. 16, 2007 that it had surpassed Google Japan in the internet viewing rate survey conducted by Alexa, a unit of Amazon.com of the United States, to be ranked second in viewing rate in Japan following Yahoo! Japan. The company started the service in 1999, and its users are said to exceed 4 million in number.
