Advance orders for Nissan GT-R's top 2,000 in less than 2 months

The number of the new "Nissan GT-R" model cars ordered in advance in Japan had reached 2,282 in less than two months since the orders began to be accepted on Sept. 26, Nissan Motor Co. announced on Nov. 15, 2007. The GT-R cars will be started to be sold on December 6, but the orders have already exceeded 11 times the monthly sales target of 200 units. Orders for the new "Skyline Coupe" model cars, which were started to be sold on Oct. 2, have also topped 2,400 units, or nearly 12 times the monthly sales target of 200. By the age category of the GT-R buyers, 60% were those younger than 50 years of age. The most popular types of the cars were Premium Edition, which is the highest grade in the line, by grade and white pearl (27% of the total order) by the color.
