The major Japanese distribution company Aeon Co. and Sanyo Electric Co. announced on Nov. 28, 2007 that they will jointly develop consumer electric appliances. The product to be jointly developed will include rice cookers, microwave ovens and other home appliances commonly known as "white merchandises" because they are usually colored white. The products will be sold nationwide at Aeon's shops as its private brand (PB) "top value".
