Suzuki announces its 2008 FIA World Rally Championship Team

   Suzuki Motor Corp. announced on Dec. 27, 2007 its drivers and car to form the Suzuki World Rally Team to take part in the FIA World Rally Championship starting in 2008. The cars to be entered are two units of the Sx4 WRC. The drivers will be Toni Gardemeister from Finland for one and Per-Gunnar Andersson from Sweden for the other. Toni Gardemeister is an experienced 32-year-old driver who won the fourth place in the 2005 Drivers Championship. His co-driver will be Tomi Tuominen, also from Finland. Per-Gunnar Andersson, 27, won the 2007 Junior Rally Championship. He will be joined by Jonas Andersson, also from Sweden, as his co-driver. The car he will drive will be modified Sx4 with its power raised to 320ps.
