Bandai Visual Co. started selling DVD-Box "Future Boy Conan 30th Anniversary Memorial Box" from Jan. 25, 2008 to mark the 30th anniversary of the broadcasting of the TV anime, "Mirai Shonen Conan (Future Boy Conan)," produced by Hayao Miyazaki in 1978.

The stage for the anime story is set in an imaginary world 20 years after a world war that breaks out for the last time. Then the Earth faces the danger of extinction. The story is about Boy Conan, who lives on the deserted island called "Nokosare-to." He sets out on an adventurous journey for the rescue of the girl named Lana, whom he had met on a shore. The scene of Lana giving oxygen month-to-month to Conan, hand-cuffed and can not move in the sea, is famous.

The DVD-Box is a set of seven DVD discs recording a total of 26 episodes. It is priced at 18,900 yen and comes with a commentary booklet.
