A Lexus-brand car of Toyota Motor Corp. will take part in the 37th Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race to be held in Germany on May 21-24, the company has announced.
It will be the second such entrance in the race since 2008. The car to run in the next race is the two-seater sports car LF-A under development. The experimental car as the base, safety devices and aerodynamic parts will be added. No major modification is made to the driving system, according to the company. It is a rear-wheel driven car with a 4.8-liter V-10 engine mounted in the front. The engine yields the maximum power of more than 367kW (500ps). It is fitted with a paddle-shift, sequential MT system.
