Stylish to look at but give tough performances
Olympus Imaging Corp. will put on the market the highly water- and shock-proof compact digital camera, "μ TOUCH-6010," starting in late July.
The new product is a follower to the "μTOUCH-6000," which was introduced in January 2009. It is water-proof enough to be sunk in water to the depth of three meters and protected against dust. It is designed for shock-proof to withstand a fall from the height of 1.5 meters. It is capable of performing in a temperature as low as minus 10 degrees centigrade. It is also fitted with a "magic filter" that enables to take four different types of pictures with special effect. It is thus capable of taking portraits like those taken by toy cameras with reduced surrounding light amount, or unique pictures as if they are taken with the fisheye lens.
They come in three different colors, including red and blue. The price is expected to be around 35,000 yen each.
