Chinese map backing Japan's ownership of Senkaku Islands to be released on Ministry of Foreign Affairs website

The Liberal Democratic Party presented a copy of a Chinese map to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 5th 2015, at a joint session held by government bodies such as the Headquarters for Regional Diplomatic and Economic Partnership. It appears that the map, which dates from 1969, labels Okinawa Prefecture's Senkaku Islands as Japanese territory. The map is planned to be released to the public on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
The map was produced by the Chinese governmental body 'State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping of the People's Republic of China' (now the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation) - the Chinese equivalent of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan - and uses Japanese names for the islands, such as 'Senkaku Archipelago' and 'Uotsuri Island'.
The LDP's Yoshiaki Harada, a member of the House of Representatives, gave a detailed explanation of the contents of the map on the March 5th edition of Terapori, the online program produced by J-Cast News.
